Our network of vetted and accredited installers register and pay for the insurance cover on behalf of their customers. Once registered, the insurance cover provides protection in the event that the installer ceases to trade and is unable to honour their written workmanship guarantee.
The insurance cover that we supply is underwritten by a UK based insurer, with clear and simple insurance policy wording. Policyholders may also benefit from free access to fair and impartial dispute resolution from the Financial Ombudsman Service.
All prospective Accredited Installers are required to demonstrate they are competent, have a solvent business and install products for which they carry the relevant certification and experience.
Successful applicants who are accepted as an Accredited Installer are regularly monitored to ensure they are financially solvent and that they have kept up to date with their relevant certification.

A trade member may guarantee its work against failures due to its defective workmanship for a minimum period of one year from the date of completion of the work subject to receipt of full payment within the terms of the guarantee. Repair and maintenance work shall be excluded from such a guarantee. Guarantees are not mandatory by law and are given at the discretion of the roofer.
All CORC Associate members, as a condition of their membership, shall provide their own material guarantees of ten or more years duration and shall ensure, where applicable, that their materials meet a BS, EN, BBA or other approved technical accreditation’s operative at the time. Their materials may be viewed by clients on www.corc.co.uk linked to individual Associate member’s sites where these exist.
A CORC member must honour their company guarantee and go back to the customer within an acceptable time frame.
