The very nature of our business requires us to be members of certain organisations, others are optional. At Fibrespan we take our work seriously, as do the organisations we belong to. Our work is regularly inspected to ensure quality of workmanship is maintained. These are some of the organisations we are members of.
Competent Roofer
Competent Roofer is the Government-authorised scheme for England and Wales that allows professional roofing contractors to self-certify that their roofing refurbishment work complies with Building Regulations. Now Fibreglass GRP LTD has the ability to self-certify it means the customer does not have to pay to certifications costs. The scheme encompasses all roofing types for domestic, industrial and commercial flat roof properties and is open to all roofing contractors to apply.
The Confederation of Roofing Contractors is a roofing contractors’ association consisting of some of the best roofing contractors in the industry. The Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CoRC) was established in 1985, to promote best practice and to provide assurance of the quality and standards for work undertaken by its members. Once paid for and completed, works carried out by members of the Federation of Roofing Contractors are insured for a period of 10-20 years, depending on the nature of works.
For almost 30 years the FairTrades Association has been proud to identify and endorse our Trade Association Members. We promote our members to consumers, homeowners and other construction businesses throughout the UK. We are the UK's largest multi trade association and our knowledge, products and services are highly valued in the home improvement industry.
To ensure that NFRC contractors offer the highest standards in workmanship and customer service, all member contractors are rigorously vetted before joining NFRC and every three years thereafter. A roofing contractor must meet a strict vetting criteria which includes trading history and financial stability, compliance with HSE regulations, insurance record and also previous work inspections

Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live, work, shop and visit. SBD’s product based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification - provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.
CERTASS has been a Government authorised Certification body since 2006. Our UKAS accreditation matters! It places a duty upon us to certify our members impartially against agreed standards. It requires that our certification provides confidence to all interested parties including consumers, Governments and industry.
